๐ŸŽฌ ON TODAY’S MANUAL: Blending distortions/fuzzes/overdrives with reverb might not be a hard task for all of you bedroom shoegazers out there (like me) but it can be quite frustrating for fellow apprentices that are just getting started into bending up and down the whammy bar on their hipster guitars so they can into VROOO VROO VREEE VREE like us. This video is dedicated to all of you who are just starting to play/listen to shoegaze – the world needs more like you! (: Here I’m showing up some of the tips and tricks I’ve learned on how to – try – to tame wild reverb tails and muddy distortions or fuzzes when playing shoegaze. Sometimes, things can get too blurry, not necessarily in the way you want for a specific song or context, so I hope this helps you out. Today, we’re exploring three “basic” types of reverb for shoegaze – Gated, Modulated and Hall reverbs – debating on the difference between them, what makes each of them so special, and how to better mix these effects with fuzz. Thanks for watching, and remember to experiment and figure out what sounds best for your ears! (;

๐ŸŽธ So who are you? You weirdo hipster ๐ŸŽธ I’m Victor Budin ( – Instagram), a musician from Brazil. The most notable of my music projects is my power trio band Supernova Andromeda ( – Instagram) – my shoegaze/indie/alt rock band where I explore shimmery and fuzzy sounds from the 90’s to produce my own music. I have two other projects, Magna Carta cover band, witch covers rock from all ages in an alternative rock way; and Casus Belli, witch hangs around Stoner/Doom metal. If you’d like to check out one of the bands and follow them on social media, it’ll help me out a lot! I’m a big fan of the underground scene from Brazil and the world, and I want to show a bit of this universe here to you – Besides, I love talking about these genres that are so important to me since I grew up listening to them: Indie, shoegaze, Alt rock, Doom and Stoner metal. I love exploring all kinds of gear available to create alternative music. Thanks for watching! ๐Ÿ‘ป

  1. Make LSD for the next one! – no one ever talks about how to blend stereo reverb and stereo delay…..I use a mixer to do it!
    BTW- that Hardwire reverb has GREAT buffers in it if you turn tails on. End of pedal chain goodness.
